B&D RESIDE AND EVO WIN AT THE HOUSING DIGITAL AWARDS

An innovative partnership between B&D Reside, a social and affordable housing provider in
east London’s borough of Barking & Dagenham, and specialist housing technology firm,
EVO, has been awarded the 'Best Repairs and Maintenance Innovation' accolade at the
Housing Digital awards 2024.

B&D Reside, which was created by the local authority as an independent company to
champion housing development in the borough, partnered with EVO, an ‘innovation engine’
specialising in digital solutions for housing providers.


Michael Westbrook, Managing Director of B&D Reside said: “This award is testimony to the
hard work put in by everyone involved; not only the teams at B&D Reside and EVO, but
especially our residents whose feedback helped refine the service and tested the
technology.


“This is a journey for us and our residents, but in only nine months, the pilot with EVO has
been transformative. Residents are happier and more engaged, and we have full visibility on
data which helps us plan. EVO is already reducing our whole-life-costs on repairs and
helping us budget. We believe that EVO will bring sustainable benefits for us and our
residents.”

Against the industry average, EVO has saved repair and maintenance operating expenditure
