The use of EVO’s innovative technology and management services will enable smart automation of repairs, maintenance, and compliance processes, allowing the Storm Housing Group team to focus on customer satisfaction and delivering better outcomes for tenants.

Storm Housing Group was established in 2020 and is a registered provider of Social Housing across England, working with the largest house builders alongside its internal development partner Storm Property, delivering new sustainable and environmentally friendly housing for Affordable Rent and Shared Ownership.

Storm’s target is to acquire over 1,000 homes per year and deliver 5,000 properties to the housing sector by 2028. Storm has secured a statement of intent to provide £100 million of annual investment from Social Impact Investment Funds to acquire and build new homes. Storm already provides homes in Staffordshire and has a pipeline of developments across the Midlands and Lincolnshire. The housing sector is demonstrating that Registered Providers and institutional funds can work together to ensure that private capital complements government funding and delivers more homes, thereby providing greater choice to Local Authorities and individuals on social housing waiting lists.

The partnership with EVO will allow Storm to offer a friction-free tenant focussed digital management solution that puts power in the hands of the user. Residents can report repairs and home emergency issues quickly, arrange service appointments when it is most convenient for them, plus find and store home documents all through the easy-to-use EVO App.

EVO’s simple and intuitive technology provides an unparalleled level of convenience for tenants, landlords, and tradespeople alike, allowing issues to be raised and dealt with as they happen, ensuring tenants have a good experience and landlords do not have a long-term build-up of issues or consequential property damage.

For Storm’s management team, everything is available in one place, with instant access to intelligent property data, documents, and detailed service history with ground-breaking search and select functionality that’s lightweight, secure, and always online.

Sam Roden, Chief Executive of Storm Housing Group, said, “We’re absolutely delighted that Storm Housing Group is partnering with EVO. As a new Registered Provider, one of our main priorities is to raise the bar in terms of customer satisfaction as well as remove any inefficiencies in the way that social housing is currently managed. After reviewing all products that are currently on the market, EVO was the clear winner, as from a resident’s perspective, the interface and workflows are far superior to anything else out there, allowing a truly digital end to end customer experience at a far lower cost than traditional management.

Steven Rae, Chief Executive Officer of EVO, said, “We are incredibly proud to be working alongside Storm Housing Group. EVO was born from a desire to improve tenant and landlord experience, as well as to tackle the serious problem of homelessness. I am delighted that Storm chose EVO to be its post-tenancy partner and, together, I believe we can deliver part of the transformation the housing sector desperately needs”.

Storm is helping to tackle the housing crisis by delivering new build sustainable homes in mixed private and social communities and helping to reduce social housing waiting lists. Storm’s sustainability and quality targets underpin each new home, offering those who need it a move-in ready home that is designed and built for life. By working with EVO, Storm is confident that the Company will be able to deliver an excellent customer-focused repairs and maintenance service for its tenants.

The main goals of the partnership are to:

● Reduce homelessness.
● Ensure all accommodation is fully compliant.
● Ensure housing always meets the decent homes standard.
● Improve tenant experience with a completely transparent process, leading to increased engagement and satisfaction.
● Significantly reduce environmental impact through the use of digital solutions, video triage, local tradespeople, and an improved first-time fix rate.
